 WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING A MEAL FOR A 4 YEAR OLD Meal planning is an important aspect that a care giver should put in consideration before embarking on cooking. Nutritive value of the meal should come first in the plan. Why? this is because each nutrient that goes in the child's body counts for his general wellbeing as regards to growth and development. The caregiver should make sure that the food is well balanced; meaning it should have proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates and essential minerals. secondly, health status of the child determines the  quantity and quality of food the child is given. For example if a child is sick, she or he should be given enough quantity of food with vegetables and fruits given generously.  On the other hand, time is very important when planning a meal for a 4 year old. FACTORS AFFECTING MATURATION IN THREE YEAR OLDS

    Many people cage maturation by the child's school readiness but, there are many factors that determine maturation of three year olds. To start with, biological factors inherited from the parent's genes play a role in a child's maturity. Secondly, food and nutrition a child consumes will determine if a child matures as expected or delays in maturity. Last but not least, education level of the primary care giver plays an important role in a child's maturity in the sense that, the educated care givers provides quality care which stimulates the child to mature faster. Lastly, children exposed to diseases are more likely to have delayed mile stones hence affecting their maturity.
 Early years of a child is the most important period in a child's life This is because, experiences during early years influence the individual throughout his/her life time. Also, growth and development in all aspects is the fastest. For instance, it is during this time that the mental schemas through which the child constructs the world are formed, hence the windows of learning are still open. Moreover, it is the time when killer childhood diseases are successfully immunized. In conclusion, increase in maturity combined with opportunities to experience a widening world enhances child's cognitive abilities.
